Flange ball bearings come in many shapes and sizes usually in two-bolt flange bearing, three-bolt flange bearing or four-bolt flange bearing designs. Small two-bolt designs are commonly called flangettes but are of a totally different construction and design to the heavier duty two-bolt flange series.
Mounted flange ball bearings offer multiple housing styles, materials and configurations featuring an extended inner race insert bearing with ball riding nylon/felt retainer. The insert features a rivet to help prevent outer ring rotation and is available with a setscrew, eccentric, or concentric locking collar. The contact seal, with a black oxide treated flinger, provides a good balance between prevention of contaminant entry and grease loss while reducing friction. Depending on your preference, these bearings are available in inch and metric bore with a wide variety of cast iron, stamped steel or rubber mount housings.
